What is Electroplating?

Barrel electroplating the method of electroplating that we use at Team Plating Works. It is the electroplating of small metal parts by placing them inside a rotating barrel filled with the plating solution. As the barrel rotates, the parts tumble continuously, ensuring uniform exposure to the plating solution. This process is often used for coating small, intricately shaped parts such as screws, nuts, and bolts, providing a cost-effective and efficient way to apply a uniform plating layer to numerous components simultaneously.
Electroplating is a process used to coat metal objects with a thin layer of another metal through electrolysis.
It involves immersing the object to be plated (the substrate) into an electrolyte solution containing ions of the plating metal. An electric current is then passed through the solution, causing the metal ions to deposit onto the substrate, forming a uniform and adherent coating.
